Boil Water Notice

All Greater Vernon water users served by the Kalamalka  Lake system are now on a
GVW 24 Hour Boil - Affected Area map
precautionary 24 hour boil water notice.

 This after a power outage caused an automated valve to malfunction allowing untreated water into the system. The utility is flushing and will advise when it's safe to lift the notice.



What does Boil Water Notice mean?
This means that all customers should exercise caution when using the water for consumption purposes the following should be boiled for one minute:
What should customers do?
Customers, water intended for the following uses, should be boiled for one minute:
• drinking
• washing fruits and vegetables
• making beverages or ice
• brushing teeth
Staff continually monitors water quality and will notify customers if any further changes occur.
